MTM-S [Parsytec Inc.]

MTM-S is a versatile, high-performance workstation-to-transputerinterface. Designed as a 9U module for workstations, it has a completeVME master/slave facility, including a 32-bit T805 processor and high-speed data transfer using from 4 to 32 MB of dual-ported memory.Expansion capability is achieved by allowing up to 15 optional daughter-boards to be plugged in. For specific applications, two Parsytec UniLinkmodules can be used for extra processing power, high-resolution graphics,image processing, SCSI disk controllers, and high-speed I/O cards.MTM-S has a Network Configuration Unit (NCU) providing software-controlled transputer link interfaces that enable up to eight users toshare transputer resources, including remote use across the workstationnetworks. An important feature is the independent determination by eachuser of the partition topology and operating system.
